If you have never owned a Jack Russell Terrier, please do your research to make sure this dog is a good fit, and you have the time, energy, space, and love to give. This is a shorty Jack, 8-12″ tall at the withers. Shorty Jacks are loving, smart, fun, and loyal, with a big personality. They will require a 15-to-20-year commitment. They make wonderful companions, active, and strong-willed they will require strong consistent leadership. Jacks are full of energy and will need room to run or long walks.  Many jack’s  enjoy activities like agility, racing and chasing.  The Shorty’s are especially built for go to ground to hunt. They are also very social and love their family, that is why they do not do well being left alone for long periods of time. This breed will test you, but the love and loyalty is worth it.  Obedience classes with a trainer who is familiar with this breed, is highly recommended.

Our dogs are part of the family and raised in our home. They are also raised around chickens and goats.

Little Miss Loki, our Dam is a short leg Jack Russell, often referred to as a Shorty Jack or a Russell Terrier.  She is very loving and full of cuddles.  She enjoys being outdoors with us as we do chores, feeding the chickens, and goats and running around the ranch.  She loves to play fetch and will bring us one of her balls many times each day.  Loki is a seasoned camper, playing on the beach or hiking in the woods.

Sassy was our first Jack Russell. She was a long leg jack russell,  (Parsons Jack), very active, adventurous, and loved her family. She went on many camping and beach trips. When she was two yrs, we brought home another jack, Mylo, both from the same Dam but, Mylo was a shorty jack. Both Sassy and Mylo loved to play fetch. Sassy’s favorite was a frisby and Mylo liked chasng empty plastic bottles.
