Puppy Contract

Thank you for your interest in buying a Jack Russell Terrier Shorties puppy. The full cost of puppy is $1800.00. For breeding rights, it is an additional $300.00

Deposit required.

There is a non-refundable deposit of $300.00. This will ensure that the puppy you have chosen will be taken off the sale list and held for you. If you change your mind because of unforeseen circumstances your deposit can be transferred to a future litter. The cancelation of purchase must be made before the puppy is 4 weeks old. If you cancel your purchase after the puppy is 4 weeks old the deposit will not be refunded. If something happens to the puppy that you have chosen while in our care your deposit will be returned or can be transferred to a future litter.

Venmo is available for payment plans.  Credit cards, cash, or checks (with a waiting period) are all accepted. Please send checks 2 weeks before pick up so there is time for the check to clear.  There will be a 4% fee for Pay Pal and Venmo.

The puppies will come home with their tails docked, dew claws removed, their first 2 sets of shots and worming and their first vet check along with a vet signed health record. They will also come home with a sample of food, a gift bag, and EJRTCA registration papers.

Puppies will be ready to go to their homes at 8 weeks old. You will be notified of this date. Please make plans before or at notification for pick up, delivery or shipping of puppy. The remainder of the payment will be made at this time. All payments must be clear before the puppy is released to you.  Delivery can be made locally for $1.00 per mile, limit on deliveries 200 miles. Shipping your puppy can cost anywhere from $500.00 up to $700.00. Please plan if the puppy is to be shipped before six weeks of age.

Buyers will be required to have the puppy checked by their vet within 72 hours of pick up. Some vets are very busy, so make this appt several weeks prior to pick up. If the puppy is found to not be healthy, please return to breeder and breeder’s vet. Breeders vet will have the right to double check puppy for any health issues before a refund or replacement is made. Breeder will not be responsible for any vet bills after puppy has left our care. Please be aware that problems like diarrhea, coccidiosis, wormy stool, etc. are common among puppies. We strive to make every puppy free of these condition before they leave our care. Buyer will be responsible for continued vaccination and worming and the puppy’s health care. Buyer is also required to follow vet recommendations for limiting puppy’s exposure to parvo at public places until properly vaccinated. The buyer agrees to have puppy spade or neutered between 8/10 months if not purchasing breeding rights.

If at any time buyer is unable to care for puppy and are unable to find a safe loving home for him/her by signing this contract, you agree to return him/her along with vet record and registration papers to breeder so a new loving home can be found.

By signing this contract, the buyer guarantees that the puppy will remain in their care and custody.
